"As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in my love." -John 15:9
We are plagued by loneliness today. Companionship is something we treasure. But some of us no longer know the beauty of a companion. We lack enthusiasm, happiness and joy because we suffer from loneliness. Inwardly, we feel lonely and we dare not share it with anyone. Some of us suffer from the loneliness of failure. We think we have failed at something and we dare not talk to anyone else about it. Others are successful and still suffer from loneliness. These people do not share their success because of the fear that others would think they are boasting. I don't know which is worse-the loneliness of failure or the loneliness of success. Some suffer from the loneliness of sorrow. Alone in your grief you mourn for someone who is gone. Others suffer the loneliness of sickness and pain and may not even tell their spouse or their children how much it hurts. They simply suffer in the loneliness of silence.
There is only one cure for loneliness. And that is the realization that there is One companion who understands, truly understands you. Only Christ can come and save you from loneliness-that isolation of the spirit. He alone is the cure for that negative emotion. Our hearts are homesick for companionship with our Creator. The Come-Alive-Power of Jesus Christ brings companionship!
"In response to all He has done for us, let us outdo each other in being helpful and kind to each other and in doing good." -Hebrews 10:24
Who are the lonely people around you? Think of several people who might be lonely. What could you do to ease their loneliness?
I am not alone. Jesus Christ is my constant companion! Because Christ gives me Come-Alive- Power, I am His instrument in easing loneliness in those around me.

Ut omnes unum sint, sicut tu Pater in me et ego in Te ut sint unum sicut et nos unum sumus.
If Christ is not raised, your faith is worthless
